Thanksgiving popcorn? [Nov. 19th, 2015|05:45 am]
I want to take some popcorn to a potluck (don't ask!) so what would party it up? Tamari etc would NOT fit the Thanksgiving mythos! Powdered seaweed?

For a thanksgiving theme, why not that "mixed poultry spice" people use to flavor stuffing? (I think it's a mixtures of sage, rosemary, thyme, other stuff.)

Maybe experiment with some coloring, to resemble the multicolored kernels from the original cultivars.

We pop our popcorn in olive oil. But we're in Spain. Spain is weird.

It's amazingly delicious, though.

Are you trying to specifically be Thanksgiving-like, or is this a general thing?

I used garam masala recently, and that was good. Any sort of curry spice mix, really. Or a chili spice mix -- some cumin, oregano, cilantro if you're not me, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, OR just one that you like from the spice cabinet.
